According to the latest YPO Global Pulse Survey, only 25.5% of respondents expect a global recession in the next 12 months — a significant drop from 42.1% who feared recession one year ago. This more optimistic outlook is reflected across certain regions, with Canada, Africa and the U.S. seeing a sharp decline in recession concerns. Inflation remains a persistent challenge, with 6% of leaders expecting prices to rise at a faster pace and 26.5% expecting it to continue at the same pace, a sentiment largely unchanged from last year. The overall business climate’s impact on the operations of those chief executives who responded to the survey has seen little change, suggesting a steady, if cautious, approach to navigating the current landscape.
