Alain Chetrit

Alain Chetrit is co-founder and serves as the founding managing partner of The Knowledge Pledge, whose mission is to “Pledge your Knowledge”. TKP is a collaboration of purpose-driven leaders with a wealth of experience and broad networks, motivated to share insights and knowledge to support social entrepreneurs scale their impact in the world.

Chetrit is an entrepreneur with experience in luxury apparel, healthcare services, telecom, M&A advisory services, and capital markets fund management.

He co-founded a hedge fund that primarily invested in publicly traded technology companies. He co-founded LabConnect, (www.labconnect.com) which provides global central laboratory services supporting drug development. He also founded First Regional Telecom and OnlineLiving, a broadband and internet communication services company in a partnership with Vivendi, the French media conglomerate. In addition, he founded Hugo Boss Stores Holdings, the creator and operator of the first free-standing retail stores for the brand in the world.

Chetrit has served on the YPO International board (2010-2015), held the organization’s Finance Chair position (2011-2013), and served as International Chairman of the WPO (YPO Gold) Board (2013-2014). Alain is also the founder of YPO Global Impact. Global Impact identifies, highlights, and celebrates extraordinary members taking extraordinary measures to make the world a better place. Launched in 2012, Global Impact has celebrated several members who are making a difference, leading each other to even greater accomplishments. Chetrit joined YPO in 1990 when, at the time, he was the founder and CEO of Hugo Boss Stores Holdings. Chetrit currently serves on corporate boards. He studied Business Administration at American University, Washington, D.C.
